Stop Motion pictures has decided that we will have the site open while developing the new site... the new site with have a better and cleaner layout...

It will just be better, we are basically updating the code and everything while getting a new url

Can't wait till its done! its going to be awesome!

SMP is Moving Website!

Stop Motion Pictures has had the aaronvail.com domain a while. That one was free until we got more serous about film making. Now we are going to switch from aaronvail.com and move to a different URL. we are not going to tell you yet until we get it moved over. Be sure to subscribe to our rss to get the latest updates when we are releasing the new domain!

Claymation?

Stop Motion Pictures is now doing claymation! What is claymation? Well its stop motion animation but you use clay or play-doh. The first claymation that stop motion pictures released officially is called The Hand! it is a ball of play-doh that gets cut up and put away by the "Master Hand" after it escapes from its container. Stop Motion pictures is currently saving up its funds to buy some professional clay, after that the animations will kick butt! "We are very excited to have started claymation." said Stop Motion Pictures CEO Aaron Vail at the live conference on ustream.

lego life 2

Lego life 2 is here. To watch it go to the stop motion pictures website or Youtube. It was a long and stressful week for me because I had to make the whole movie within that time and when I published the trailer for the movie I had not even started filming yet! And during that week then I had to go to the store several time and I had to go and was dying to get back to film before it got to dark in my room. But I pulled it off! And you have a nice movie to entertain you for 2 minutes.

SMP's Site Launched!

SMP (Stop Motion Pictures) Site just launched last week! It is www.aaronvail.com. You can comment directly on the site on the feedback page without having to enter any personal information at all! you can watch movies right on the site.

Fellow Animator

I have a friend that lives in Colorado and is a fellow animator. He makes stop motion animated movies with Lego's like I do. And we have the same first name. He has his movies on youtube and you can watch them on his channel: RapidFireAnimation
He has a good animation technique for his movies, and is OK quality as of any poor camera. I like to take my pictures in High-Definition with a 16:9 aspect ratio, but I do not have that option for video. You should also check out PES on youtube they have really great stop motion movies that won Honorable Mention in the sundance film festival, here is there Channel, And be sure to watch Western spaghetti.
